DATA WAREHOUSE ENGINEER

Location: Karachi

Industry: Information Technology (Software House)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Science or Engineering

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in collecting and translating the business requirements and creating designs that include data modeling, data flow, error handling , logging.

- 4+ years of experience in creating ETL involving heterogeneous data sources (IBM DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, Excel files, CSVs, Azure Blobs, XML, JSON, etc.) using SQL Server Integration Services, Azure Data Factories.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure Data Factories or SSIS, calling REST APIs.

- Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and optimizing problematic SQL queries by Indexing, Partitioning and Denormalization and other techniques.

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience on SQL Server Reporting Services that includes creating various types of reports, setting up of subscriptions, etc.

Key Job Functions and Responsibilities: 

- Gather business requirements, identify gaps in data and enrich existing data warehouse.

- Develop new and support existing ETL processes utilizing Azure data factory/SSIS etc. 

- Document mappings of data points, describing various sources and targets, error handling, logging, etc.

- Create, update, publish, and schedule reports to support organization’s reporting requirements using SSRS.
