Sri Lanka: Pakistan cricket team tour of Sri Lanka. First test match between Asian best teams started in Galle, on July 16, 2022.
Sri Lanka bat in first innings and their batsman bated very well. Prominent batsman Danish Chandimal made 76 runs on 115 balls, Second highest scorer in Sri Lanka first innings made by Mahesh Theekshana 38 runs on 65 balls and third highest runs scoring batsman in first innings is Oshada Fernando made 35 runs in 49 balls.
Sri Lanka made total 222 runs in 66.1 overs and their all batsman out.
Pakistani bowlers Details in first Innings are Shaheen Afridi took 4 wickets, Hasan Ali & Yasir Shah both took 2 wickets each and Naseem Shah & M Nawaz took 1 wicket each.
In reply Pakistani batting line tumbled against Sri Lankan good bowling.
But again Pakistani batsman Mr. Crisis played very brilliant and best inning and stand again Sri Lanka good bowling line Babar Azam made Century 119 runs on 244 balls and give the support to Pakistani team. This is called one man show.
Pakistan all out in first inning and made 218 runs in 90.5 overs.
Sri Lankan bowlers performed very well Prabath Jayasuria took 5 wickets, Maheesh Thekshana and Ramesh Mandis took 2 wickets each and Kasun Rajitha took only 1 wicket.
Sri Lanka in second inning played very well and scored good total, Oshada Fernando made 64 runs on 125 balls, Kusal Mendis 76 runs on 126 balls and Danesh Chandimal made 94 runs on 139 balls. Sri Lankan batting line made 337 in 100 overs in second innings and lead by 342. Sri Lanka given 342 runs target for win to Pakistan in their second and final inning.
Pakistani bowling side perform better but Sri Lankan batting line was dominating in their second Innings. Muhammad Nawaz took 5 wickets and Yasir Shah 3 wickets. While Hasan Ali & Naseem Shah took 1 wicket each.
Pakistan in second innings got target of 342 runs to win this match, pitch is tough to play and supporting spinners and Sri Lanka also have good spinners in their team. Pakistani opening batsman Played brilliantly and played match wining inning he made 160 runs on 408 balls, Babar Azam again played good inning and made 55 runs on 104 balls, Imamul Haq made 55 runs on 73 balls and wicket keeper Muhammad Rizwan made 40 runs on 74 balls, Pakistani batsman played very well and chased the target in 127.2 overs, Pakistan made 344/6 and win the match.
Sri lankan nowling didn't perform very well in Pakistan's second innings. Parabath Jaysuria room 4 wickets,.Ramesh Mendis & Dhamanjaya de Silva room 1 wicket each.
Pakistan won the first test match again Sri Lanka and leading the 2 test match series by 1-0.
